At Zenergy, we talk a lot about how Agile is ultimately a mindset over being simply processes and methods. In his latest blog, Zenergy’s VP of Agile, Shaun Bradshaw, shares his thoughts on the Agile Mindset and how it can become an impediment when not embraced.
Bob Galen
Director of Agile Practices
Leading agile teams might be one of the hardest things you’ve ever done IF you want to do it effectively and congruently. Agile methods have moved beyond hype and novelty to embed themselves in nearly every software company in the world.
That’s the good news. These methods are here to stay and have the potential to be a game-changer. The bad news is it takes a leadership transformation to make agility work effectively. You can’t “go Agile” and not change your leadership style, habits, approaches, and posture. It also requires a cultural shift. This means you are a key guide to leading your teams through these changes. Unfortunately, there has been a lack of focus on leaders and the requisite leadership skills in agile contexts.
The better news is this course addresses that challenge and does it in a practical way by sharing stories, practices, and real-world experience into the dynamics of effective agile leadership. If you are looking to become a skilled, agile leader, then this class is an excellent way to kick off that journey.
This workshop provides a Certified Agile Leadership, Level 1 (CAL-1) certification with the Scrum Alliance.
