Bob Galen, director of agile practices, has some hot topics in store for those attending this year’s StarEast Conference! Bob will be speaking on three tutorials and a keynote on the following topics throughout the conference:
- May 8 from 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm: This half-day tutorial on, Test Automation Strategies for the Agile World, is for anyone interested in learning more about the current test automation landscape in an agile environment and how to address challenges and changes. Learn new automation strategies to improve quality and efficiency and walk away with some solid ideas for making agile test automation work in your organization.
- May 9 from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm: Bob and Mary Thorn’s half-day tutorial on, Agile Testing: Team Tactics that Deliver the Goods, will guide you on the right path as to which tools, techniques, and the right mindset needed to get your organization successfully testing in an agile context. You will also examine risk-based testing, iterative test planning, exploratory testing, agile automation strategies, test metrics, and test artifacts.
- May 9 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Bob and Mary's tutorial on, Agile Test Team Leadership: From Concept to Product, will explore what excellent test teams should look like and how leadership plays an important role in agile. This tutorial will also help you gain insight as to which agile tools to use, planning, iterative execution, metrics, and reporting so your teams can become more self-directed and have a full understanding of the daily operations in agile contexts.
- May 11 from 8:30 am – 9:30 pm: Join Bob for his keynote, Step Aside: Stop Leading from the Front, for a discussion on how to make the journey less about you and more about the team you lead. Learn a new approach for empowering your test teams as well as why it’s necessary not to lead from the front in order to help empower your teams to be more self-directed.
